SARATOGA COUNTY STATISTICS

On, 2 Dec 1858, the Saratogian reported:
SARATOGA COUNTY STATISTICS
Saratoga county was set off from Albany county in 179I. Prior to that time the tertitory which was included in the new county consisted of the towns of Ballston, Halfmoon, Saratoga and Stillwater.
In 1792, Charlton. Galway and Milton were taken from Ballston. Greenfield was taken from Milton and Saratoga in 1793. Providence was taken from Galway in 1796. Northfield was taken from Providence in 1801, and its name changed to Edinburgh in 1808. Concord was taken from Edinburgh and Hadley in 1819, and its name changed to Day in 1827. Hadley was taken from Greenfield and Northumberland in 1801., Corinth was taken from Hadley in 1818.
