The Times Union reports that artist Len Tantillo did a new piece of art called Saratoga 1745.
This is really a big deal. Tantillo is well known for his art of the Hudson Valley and his colonial period art. He has worked with the national park service on developing information on the Schuyler estate. It was great fun visiting his office/studio as part of that Schuyler estate project.
Tantillo has a unique skill set of art, research, and architecture that made that project very successful. His art work is amazing as it reflects the our region. Now it seems like he has apply those skills for this new piece of art.
1745 is extremely important as it was a major devastating attack by the French on our community.
I checked his web site and they are not available for sale yet but hopefully the Giclée will be in a short time.
