On this day

On this day in 1775, British General Gage orders 700 British soldiers to Concord, Mass to destroy the colonists’ weapons depot, and that night, Paul Revere and William Dawes leave Boston to warn colonists including Sam Adams and John Hancock in Lexington, Mass; and in 1831 the village of Saratoga changed its name to Schuylerville; and in 2001, the Schuylerville Public Library purchased new computers with a $18,000 grant received from the Bill Gates Foundation and free internet service courtesy of Time Warner Cable.
