On this day

On this day in 1738, Henry Clinton, the future commander in chief of British forces in North America (1778-1781), is born in Newfoundland, Canada; in 1831, Schuylerville was incorporated as a village; in 1849, Victory Village Board of Trustees met for the first time and in 2001, the Town had a hearing on the proposed Comprehensive Land Use Plan at the Schuylerville Central School Auditorium.
