On this day

On this day in 1868, snow fell 2 feet deep in villages; in 1935, Congress approved the Emergency Relief Appropriation Act of 1935, the work relief bill that funded the Works Progress Administration (WPA) which constructed a number of projects in Schuylerville and at the Saratoga National Historical Park including the Schuylerville Bathing Beach and Tennis Courts; and in 2002, the Town of Saratoga agreed to lease Olympian Hall for $600 per month from Andrew Sharts for an exhibit-Visitors Center for the 225th celebration.
