On this day

On this day, in 1791, George Strover, an influential man in the community history, was born; in 1858 Adolph Simon Ochs was born, he went on to be the publisher of The New York Times and was active the organizing the preservation of the battlefield of Saratoga; in 1900, the first library opened in Sonn Building in Schuylerville; and in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA founded.
