On this day

On this day, in 1895, Matthew Ridgway was born, he was a U.S. Army leader in World War II and Korea and he commanded Art Traver’s unit in the War World II. In 1917, Local farmer Augustus Deyoe was found dead in Fish Creek pond as a result of a late night Grangerville accident; in 1932, a fire gutted Slade Restaurant; and in 2001, a blizzard started which hit area with over 12″ snow.
