100 years ago groups sleighed to Saratoga Springs for supper and dancing

img_1022-1#onthisday in 1917 (100 years ago), it was reported that “The local Maccabees and their friends enjoyed two-lond sleigh ride to Saratoga Springs Wednesday evening. Where a supper was served, followed by dancing. A large number attended from this vicinity. The party arrived home in the early morning hours,” according to the Saratogian on 9 Feb 1917

Maccabees was a fraternal organization that also provided low-cost insurance to members.
