The Saratogian reported on 1 June 1956 that: An increase in the price of milk of 1 cent, effective today, was announced this morning by local distributors.
The price has been 21 cents for Grade A pasteurized, with 22 for homogenized, which was lowest in the area.
Schenectady has increased to 24 and 25, conforming with Troy and Albany prices. Saratoga Springs remains at 23 and 24 and Glens Falls at 22 and 23.
