veteransIn 1954 the Saratogian reported:

The number of World War 2 veterans, who entered the armed services from the Town of Saratoga, is believed to be 336. As near as can be ascertained, the following were killed in action: Raymond Carey Jr., George Hathaway, Wilbur Ikenberry, John Miner, Andrew Pleshko, Madoc Irish, Edward Coinger, Ashley Pritchard, Rodney Chase, Donald Hewitt, Stewart Wendall, Arthur LeClair, Myron Wilbur, Thomas Smith, Donald Smith, Charles Noel. Should any man’s name have been overlooked, it was because of a fault in the gathering of the village military roll.
