September 18 @ Noon Historian’s Office – The American Revolution up to the Battles of Saratoga at Saratoga Town Hall. On the eve of the anniversary of the First Battle of Saratoga, join Town Historian Sean Kelleher for a review of America War of Independence from the “shot heard around the world” up to the “turning point” of the war. Location:  Schuyler Room, Town of Saratoga Town Hall 12 Spring Street Schuylerville, NY

September 19 @ 1 pm Heritage Hunters – Discovering Schenectady County’s Eastern European Roots at the Schuyler Room in Town Hall. Phyllis Zych Budka and Bernice Izzo will speak about “Eastern European Research.” Phyllis and Bernice are co-founders of “The Project to Discover Schenectady County’s Eastern European Roots.” They will discuss language complications, changing boundaries and other challenges of Eastern European research as well as their adventures in traveling.  The public is welcome.
